Dalriada Senior Debating Club uses this website to run school debates. This notice is written in plain language for members and parents. It is not legal advice. The school should treat itself as the organisation in charge of this data; a teacher or school data-protection lead should read it before the site is used widely.
What we keep
Your full name, school email, form class, and when you last signed in. We also keep motions you suggest, which side you are on, your 2–3 argument points (visible only to your side and to club officers), votes, debate dates, and messages you send through Enquiries. Officers’ actions (approve, schedule, remove a member) are recorded in an activity log the President can see.
What we do not do
We do not use passwords. We do not sell your details, run adverts, or use tracking cookies. We only email you for login links, debate notices, and club admin messages.
Why we keep it
So the club can put names on debates, send you a login link, schedule Fridays, and let the President run the board fairly. Enquiries exist so you can tell an officer if you cannot attend.
Your choices
You can correct your name and form class on Account after you log in. The President can also correct a member’s details. To ask what we hold, or to ask for your account to be removed, use Contact the admin or email the head of debating (sosisolution@gmail.com). Past debate results may still need to stay on the site for the year even if an account is closed.
How long
Login links expire after a few minutes and work once. You are signed out after a spell of inactivity. Debates and leftover board motions are archived after 3 months. The President can remove a member from the club list.
